Funeral service celebrating the life of Linda Richardson, 71, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Converse with Bro. Glenn Bezerra officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Converse, Louisiana.
Linda was born on July 14, 1953, to Jesse A. Powers, Sr. and Katherine Joyce Middleton and passed away May 15, 2025, in Many, Louisiana. Linda was a teacher at Converse High School for 33 years. She taught business classes in the evenings at Northwestern State University. Linda held many roles in her life, which included director of bible school and the nursery at First Baptist Church of Converse, yearbook advisor, cheerleader sponsor, FBLA sponsor, homecoming director, and director of graduation ceremonies at Converse High School. But her biggest role of all was being the greatest Meme ever!
Linda was preceded in death by father, Jesse Powers, Sr.; mother, Joyce Rambin; brother, Jesse A. Powers, Jr.; stepfather, Ed Rambin.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Ronny Richardson; son, Blake Richardson; daughter, Danielle Procell (Alan); sister-in-law, Kay Powers; and grandchildren, Mason Procell, Emery Procell, and Jude Procell.
Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be Kyle Richardson, Ben Richardson, Kevin Richardson, Tyler Richardson, Paul Richardson, Alan Procell, Mason Procell, and Brooks Boudreaux.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Auldyn Sepulvado, Larry Patrick, Jeff Jagneaux, Ronald McDonald, and Kenneth “Chooch” Laroux.
