Linda Faye Riggan
Tupelo – Linda Faye Riggan passed from this life on September 29, 2025, surrounded by her family. Her passion was art and she was an excellent artist and patient art teacher for many years. She also passed on her love of arts and crafts to her only granddaughter, Taylor, who she adored and was so proud of. Although art was her passion, family was most important to her. She loved southern foods, especially pecan pie and brown gravy, cokes, family gatherings and holidays, especially when her son-in-law cooked her catfish, and could visit for hours. She was an avid animal lover and also had a love of music, Elvis and Vince Gill being her favorites. She passed her love of “Oldies” music on to her son Mark as well. She also loved traveling and would go anywhere at the drop of a hat. She spent many years going on “girls trips” with her sister, daughter, and granddaughter.
She leaves behind a loving sister who cared for her daily, Sandy Taylor; son, Mark Riggan; daughter, Jennifer Sellars; son-in-law, Bo Sellars; and granddaughter, Taylor Sellars.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Faye Taylor; brother, David; a very special cousin, Billye Montgomery; special aunts, Jane Mattox and Jean Hunter; cousins, Tammie Wilson and Leler Edington; and a host of other close family and friends.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo.
