Linda Joan Rozinski
June 17, 1946-February 23, 2025
Linda Joan (Hopkins) Rozinski, of La Porte, Indiana, gracefully departed from this world on February 23, 2025, at the Brickyard Care Center, where she spent her final days surrounded by the love and warmth she so generously shared throughout her life. She was born on June 17, 1946, in Winslow, Indiana, and during her remarkable journey, she became a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Linda dedicated fifty-eight years to her beloved husband Robert, building a life rich in love and laughter. Together, they cultivated a family that reshaped not only their own lives but enriched the lives of those around them. Linda's legacy endures through her children: sons Robert Jr. (Jill), William Sr.(Nancy), daughter Roberta (Amanda), as well as her adopted daughter Sheila Kinney. Her home was a sanctuary, a gathering place where kindness and warmth permeated every corner, especially when filled with the joy of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She delighted in their pursuits and accomplishments, which brought her immeasurable pride.
Linda's passions were varied; she was an ardent devotee of NASCAR, where her heart raced along with Dale Earnhardt Sr., relishing in the thrill of the race. Her son’s demolition derby competitions captivated her, and she took immense joy in cheering him on from the stands. Known fondly as a true "Car Gal," Linda's heart raced in harmony with the roar of engines and the excitement of competition.
As a dedicated homemaker, Linda poured her love into creating a nurturing environment for her family. She engaged in hidden object games, which brought her both joy and solace, allowing her to relish in challenges while enjoying moments of quiet reflection. Her laughter echoed through her household, a testament to her ability to find joy in the simplest of times.
Linda joins her departed family in the eternal, including her cherished parents, Perry and Martha (Smith) Hopkins, as well as her brothers Randy and Ronald Hopkins, and her sisters Peggy and Brenda Hopkins and great-grandchild Cali Rose. They welcomed her with open arms, ready to share in the joyous reunion.
Linda Joan Rozinski leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and vibrant memories that will be cherished indefinitely. As her spirit soars beyond this earthly realm, we remember her not just for the moments she lived, but for the love she freely gave and the joy she inspired in all our hearts.
