Linda Sue Rutledge, 62, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025. She was born on April 11, 1963, to John and Thelma (Ware) Barrett.
Linda spent her early years in Lawrenceburg, where she worked as a nurses aid for 9 years and then in the cafeteria at Lawrenceburg Elementary School and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was known for her warm heart, friendly nature, and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone she met.
A creative spirit, Linda loved to crochet, sew, and read. She had a wonderful collection of snowmen and especially adored Olaf from Frozen. Her love for animals and her generous spirit touched many lives. Even in her passing, Linda continued to help others through the gift of tissue donation.
Linda is survived by her beloved daughter, Ashlee Rutledge; her twin brother, Timothy Barrett; and her nieces, Kelsey and Kayla Barrett, and Jennifer Campbell and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma; her sister, Kim Noggler; and her brother, Michael Barrett.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with services beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to Shriners Children's Hospital or to the family to help offset expenses.
Linda will be remembered for her kindness, laughter, and love of life. Her legacy of generosity and compassion will live on in all who knew her.
