Linda Faye Hicks Rymer, 73, of Delano, departed this life peacefully on March 24, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Etowah, Tennessee on February 1, 1953, to the late Clyde Hicks and Dessie Sanford.
Linda was of the Baptist Faith. Throughout life, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Clyde Hicks and Dessie Sanford, she was preceded by her loving husband, Floyd “Sonny” Rymer; brother, Ronnie Hicks; sister, Debbie Southerlin.
Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved daughter, Charlotte (Greg) Waters; sister, Melissa Doss; two grandsons, Craig (Bethany) Waters, Kyle Ashley; one great grandson, Chapel Waters; sisters-in-law, Aselee Hicks of Coker Creek, Willie Mae Knighton of Brooksville, Florida; great aunt, Frankie Hicks of Delano; ten nieces; twelve nephews. Several cousins and extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rymer officiating. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery with Craig Waters, Briar Daniel, Dominic Stocklin, Philip Hartness, Sean Hartness serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
