Linda Sanders

Carthage - Linda Sanders, 82, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, while at Samaritan Summit Village.

A small family gathering to celebrate her life will take place at an undetermined time. A burial will take place in the spring, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Dewight. 

Linda was born on November 11, 1943, in Carthage, New York, to the Late Harold and Bertha (Bishop) Newton.She enjoyed various arts and crafts throughout her life, such as knitting tunics and mittens for her children when they were little, painting ceramics that adorned the house or creating her recent sewing project, a purple bedspread. She enjoyed playing various games with friends and family, and was very competitive, especially when a game of spoons was played.

She is survived by her children, Corina Sanders,Rebecca (Ray)Adler, Kimberly(Paul)Bisson, Dewight Sanders, Rennia (Justin)Taylor, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Joan Newton and Sharlean Curtis.

Linda is predeceased by her parents, Bertha and Harold Newton, her husband Dewight Sanders, her brother Harold (Sonny)Newton, sister Donna Coyer, and sister Mary Hoffman.
