Born August 27, 1947, in Seymour, Linda was the daughter of Russel Omar and Allie Elizabeth (Martin) Umphress. She married Marvin G. "Dink" Scifres on July 24, 1977 in Queensville, IN.
Linda was a member of Marion Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Linda was a member of the Eagles #1925, Eagles #655, and American Legion Post #89.
She is survived by her husband; children, Todd Scifres, Tracie (Jerry) Lucas, Travis Scifres, Lesley (Jim) Tennyson; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and sisters, Mary (Dean) Craft, and twin sister, Louise F. (Richard) Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nora Monroe, Patricia A. Umphress and Owetta Engelking; grandson, Justin Anderson.
Memorials may be written to the donor's choice in Linda's memory.
Arrangements entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour.
