Linda Sue Shirley, born on March 25, 1944, passed away on November 25, 2024. Known for her playful spirit and great sense of humor, Linda had a unique ability to make everyone she met smile. Linda was preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Jameson, and her brother, John Cottenmyre. Linda leaves behind her beloved daughters, Connie Williams, Vicki Thurman (and her husband Bruce Thurman), Stephanie Lavallee (and her husband Ed Lavallee), and Crystal Carter. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Linda had a passion for life that was evident in her many hobbies. She was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley, loved celebrating Halloween, and cherished spending time with her family. Linda was also meticulous about her hair, always ensuring it was perfectly styled and never to be touched. She was a member of Endless Mercy Baptist Church.
Linda's legacy of laughter and joy will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the happiness she brought into the world.
Services will be held December 3, 2024 2:00PM at Dengel & Son Mortuary 305 North Pearl Street Paola, KS 66071. There will be a visitation the hour before the service beginning at 1:00PM.
