Mrs. Linda Faye Smothers, age 84, of Franklin, TN, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 in Franklin, TN. She was a native of Franklin, TN and a daughter of the late John William Blair and Loretta Milligan Blair. Mrs. Linda was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from nursing at Williamson Medical Center and later as a caregiver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas McArthur Smothers, a daughter, Pamela Denise Smothers, and a sister, Betty Jo Cox.
Mrs. Linda enjoyed cooking for her family and others. She had a true passion for nursing patients and her mission of caregiving and homemaking. Mrs. Linda loved animals of all types and enjoyed beautiful flowers. She was passionate about helping others throughout her life. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed life with them.
Mrs. Smothers is survived by her daughter & son in law, Cristy and Paul Garner of the Bennett Hollow Community in Williamson County, TN; sister, Barbara (Gary) Farmer of Alabama; brother-in-law, Frank Cox; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Pratt officiating. Interment will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin, TN.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
