Mrs. Spooner was born August 24, 1950, to Clifton McCorkle and Tommie Williams McCorkle.  She was a graduate of Miller County High School and completed two years of college.  Many will remember her for the love and care that she showed many children in Seminole County during the time that she operated her own home daycare.  Mrs. Spooner enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and reading any book written by Stephen King.  She enjoyed any activity that included her friends at the Senior Center, and she greatly enjoyed the time she spent working at the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce and the many friends that she made during her time there. Mrs. Spooner was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville.  Spending time with her family was the most important and enjoyable part of her life.

She leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life whom she had celebrated 55 years of marriage with, Mike Spooner of Donalsonville, GA; her sons, Michael Spooner of Cumming, GA, Brad Spooner and Stephanie of Jakin, GA, and Ron Spooner and Tiffany of Donalsonville, GA; her sisters, Joyce Jones of Georgetown, GA and Sue Carswell of Sylvester, GA; her grandchildren, Savannah Spooner and Robert Young, Dalton Spooner, Belle Spooner, Cody Spooner, Kaitlyn Ross, Reiken Spooner, Caelix Spooner, and Carson Ross, as well as her great grandchildren, Ryker Young and Tatum Young.  Also surviving is her lifelong friend, Emily Collins of Thomaston, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Spooner was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Tommie Williams McCorkle and her stepmother, Evelette McCorkle.
