Linda Kay Taylor, 71 year old, died at her home on February 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 13, `954 to Rosa and William Woods. She lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, lots of sass and unwavering love for family and friends. Known for her outpouring love and helping anybody. Mrs. Linda touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandma, and wife. She found joy in cooking, gardening, and just being herself around family and friends. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor are Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

 She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy Taylor, four daughters Terrain Howard (Julian), LaShaunda Boyd(Phil) Shamira Haynes (Anthony) and Theresa Upchurch (Rufus, Jr), one son Michael Taylor (Yana), three brothers Willie Burton, Michael Woods and Jerome Woods, five sisters Dollie Thomas, Rosa Collier, Dorothy Collier, Veronica Woods and Gwendolyn Woods, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Lorenzo Townes – Taylor and a great-granddaughter Ainestie Horton.
