It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Rae Brown Tervort, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 26, 2025. She was born on August 21, 1946 in Richfield, Utah to Vallen C. Brown and Thora Charlene Hansen Brown. Her family then moved to Spanish Fork, Utah. She was the oldest of five children.
Linda graduated from Spanish Fork High School where she excelled academically and received a scholarship from LDS Business College. Soon after high school Linda married her high school sweetheart and eternal companion, Elden G. Tervort on February 20, 1965. They were blessed with five children, Frank, Michelle, Jared, Jason, and Michael. They were sealed as a family in the Manti temple.Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She took great care in helping her children become the best they could be. She helped them with so many projects, contests, hobbies, clubs, schoolwork, and church service.
While raising her family, Linda became a very successful entrepreneur. She owned and operated many businesses including Michelle’s Wedding Decorating and Catering, Lindy’s Little Things, and Tervort Enterprises.Linda put her whole heart into everything she did for her church, schools, and the community. She had a real love for family history and became an expert in researching Danish records.
Linda truly loved helping others, always making sure to pay attention to the little things. She had a special way of finding beauty in everything she touched. Her kind heart and ability to make friends blessed the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Vallen and Charlene Brown, her son Jason, and her beloved husband Elden. Linda is survived by her children Frank Tervort (Christine), Michelle Raley (Marshal), Jared Tervort (Stacy), and Michael Tervort (Lacie), 17 Grandchildren. 25 Great Grandchildren. Siblings: Patricia Thomas (Wayne), Kaye Ellis (Brent), Janet Hunter, and Kevin Brown (Carrie).A celebration of Linda’s life will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 75 South Center Street in Goshen, Utah. There will be a visitation from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Goshen City Cemetery.
