Linda Tivis Obituary

Mrs. Linda Lea (Fuller) Tivis Ratliff City - Home Going services for Mrs. Linda Lea (Fuller) Tivis, 77, of Ratliff City are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday Sept. 15, 2022 at the Milo Baptist Church with son in law, Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Roger Sims officiating. Interment will follow at the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City. Linda was born March 21, 1945 at Everett, WA to the late Mr. Bunice Lee Fuller and Mrs. Altina Geraldine (Whittington) Fuller. She departed from this life on Sunday morning, Sept. 11, 2022 at her residence in Ratliff City. Linda was raised at several communities settling in this area during her high school years. She met and soon married Mr. Glen "Dale" Tivis on Oct. 26, 1962 at Healdton. They shared many wonderful memories together during their 56 years of marriage. Together they built a thriving oilfield trucking company called "Dale's Tank Service" of Pruitt City. During the initial beginning, Dale drove the trucks and Linda took care of the office. Linda enjoyed working everyday alongside her husband Dale. Linda was a profound cook, always preparing extensive meals at her home and looked forward to serving family and friends, who were visiting. The family get togethers were always very important to her, accommodating everyone and anyone with food and activities when they visited. Her grandchildren were the light in her eyes, and she loved attending their events throughout the years. Also of importance was her yard and her flowers in which she truly loved keeping very elegant and neat, even meaning burning off her yard off seasonally if needed. During Linda's pastime, you would often find her doing word puzzles or running around town with Judy and Janet with whom she cherished as close friends immensely. Linda was a member of the Milo Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Dale, Jan. 3, 2019 and a granddaughter, Shytana (Johnston) Bray, Aug. 2, 2016. Survivors include her beloved children, Cary Dale Tivis and wife Sonja and Shelly Johnston and husband Mike, all of Ratliff City; sisters, Ann Woodward and husband David of Oklahoma City, Phyllis Arrington of Hugoton, KS and Brenda Aldridge and husband David of Springer; brothers, Butch Fuller, Danny Fuller and wife Teri, all of Medicine Park and Gerald Fuller and wife Betenia of Mannford; sister in law, Barbara Tivis of Ratliff City and Derrel Tivis of Tussy; grandchildren, Chad Jones and wife Allyson, Tanya Stark and husband John, Rusty Jones and wife Dani and Hillary Tivis; great grandchildren, Braden Stark, Brecken Stark, Jase Jones, Kolby Jones, Cooper Bray, Crew Jones and Cash Jones; numerous other family, close friends and devoted employees. Casket bearers will be John Stark, Braden Stark, Steven Bray, Chad Jones, Rusty Jones and Rodney Hammond. Honorary bearers are all the employees of Dale's Tank Service. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Cassandra and Tammy Boyd, Shelly Gidcumb and Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore for their delicate and kind care given to Linda within her illness. Family visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm Wednesday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City. Condolences and messages may be sent online at www.alexandergrayfh.com
