Linda Trickel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home on Nov. 26, 2025.
In Loving Memory: Linda Kay Trickel, a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 82 due to heart complications. Born and raised in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Linda's journey through life was filled with love, kindness, and generosity.
Linda attended Goldmine School and later graduated from Dodgeville High School. She pursued her higher education at UW-Platteville, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communications and home economics. She had a career as a real estate broker and later transitioned to property management before retiring.
In 1960, Linda married Robert Trickel, and together, they raised a family of four children: Jeffry (Sherry Byous), April, Cindy, and Pamela. Linda's extended family includes her grandchildren, Devon Ernest and Caitlin Jackson, and numerous cousins, who were all touched by her warmth and kindness. Linda held a special place in her heart for her parents, whom she loved dearly. She will be laid to rest alongside them at Eastside Cemetery in Dodgeville, where she will also be reunited with her older brother Bill.
One of Linda's greatest joys in life was her passion for travel. A world explorer at heart, she loved to tell travel tales. She also greatly enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Gardening allowed her to connect with nature and cultivate beauty in her surroundings. Linda's culinary ability was amazing, and she enjoyed preparing delicious meals for family and friends. Her love for travel, gardening, and culinary arts speaks volumes about her adventurous spirit and her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at a future date to honor her remarkable journey and the indelible mark she left on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Parker and Ruth Treweek, her brother, William Treweek, and her beloved grandson, Devon Ernest, who affectionately nicknamed her "Nina." As we bid farewell to Linda, we take comfort knowing she is now reunited with her beloved parents, brother, and grandson and that her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
Nina was the heart and soul of our family. Her love, zest for life, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by her family and close friends.
