Linda Troup, 77, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. Born on August 27, 1948, in Corydon, Indiana, to John Elliott and Audrey LaDuke Elliott. Linda spent her early years in the Midwest before her family relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida. She graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 1966, where she met the love of her life, Carl Edward Troup. The two later married and built a life centered around family, hard work, and shared adventures. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in April.

Linda pursued a career in nursing, earning her Registered Nursing Degree from St. Petersburg College. She began her career as a floor nurse and later transitioned into administration at Edward White Hospital, where she worked with dedication and compassion until her retirement in 2010. Her colleagues would remember her as steady, thoughtful, and committed to patient care.

Linda and Carl enjoyed spending time at their second home in Chiefland, Florida, embracing the slower pace of country life and weekends spent on the Suwannee River. They loved hosting cookouts, playing cards and sharing good meals and conversation with family and friends.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Linda treasured traveling with her grandchildren and preparing meals everyone looked forward to. She had a special gift for adding beautiful touches especially to holiday celebrations. From beautiful, department-store-wrapped Christmas packages to elegant holiday tables set with fine china, silver, and beautiful stemware, Linda took pride in making things beautiful and memorable.

Linda is survived by her daughter Kim and son-in-law Matt; her beloved grandchildren Summer and Talon; her brother John Elliott ( Rocky Seda) and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl and her brother Greg Elliott.

Linda will be remembered fondly for her grace, strength, and the goodness she brought to her family and friends.
