Linda L. Turner, age 77 of Wapakoneta and formerly of Cridersville, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born December 28, 1937 in Wapakoneta; to the late Roy S. and Mabel Irene Perieau Tunks. On February 2, 1954 she married Walter Richard Turner who died July 12, 1996. She then married Vernon Archer who survives in Wapakoneta. Linda was a homemaker and a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Wapakoneta. Her hobbies included BINGO, bowling, and she was a huge OSU Buckeye fan naming her faithful dog Brutus. She never met a stranger, enjoyed a good cup of coffee, and sharing a cup with her friends at Bob Evans. Family was very important to Linda and she loved following her children and grandchildren in their activities and sports. She is survived by 3 sons – Rick L. (Gina) Turner of Wapakoneta; Walter R. (Anne) Turner, II of Wapakoneta; Scott A. (Traci) Turner of Wapakoneta; a daughter – Roxanne (Rick) Dailey of Cridersville; 7 grandchildren – Marcia (Christopher), Teresa (David), Reid, Alex, Tabatha, Sydni, Grant; 2 great grandchildren – Emily and Cole; Step daughters – Sue (Terry) Phillips, Cathy (Gene, dec.) Tester, Karen (Ken) Slattery, and Denise (Ron) Maiden; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers- Kenneth Fogt and Bill Fogt; a sister – Jeanette Watson. Funeral services will begin 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Gary Bragg and Rev. Tony Dirr will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Arcadia Memorial Gardens, Arcadia, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, The Humane Society, or to Harvest Baptist Church.
