Obituary of Linda Van Orden

Linda VanOrden (Halls), aged 75, from Newton, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Madison, New Jersey. "Lin" or "Lindy," as some knew her, was born on July 28, 1950, in San Diego, California, to Kenneth Halls and Florence McCarthy (both now deceased).

Linda was the mother of three children: Jennifer (Hoffmann) Mezas, Joshua Hoffmann, and Jaimie Van Orden. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and three great-nieces. Her sisters-Floretta Smith, Sophia Kantenwein, and Ruby Halls-also survive her and will cherish her memory alongside many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Linda was known for her friendly nature and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, writing poetry, and singing along to her favorite tunes. She was always "on the go."

Linda's memory will live on through the lives she touched and the beautiful creations she left behind. May those who knew her find comfort in remembering the joy she brought into their lives. She will be missed dearly.
