Linda Waheed Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Waheed. Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend who left us peacefully on March 28, 2025.
Linda was born in Akron, Ohio on October 12, 1945 to Christopher and Georgia Church. Linda fiercely loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by both of her parents, brother Leon Church, and Sister Mary Lou Fryberger (Byron).
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Sherry Sutton, April Burton, and Donald (Julie) Creel, all of Akron, Ohio. Grandchildren; Tiarra, TaShala, Kayleigh, Terrance, Dakota, Trevon, Kyle, and Karissa. Great Grandchildren: Tymere, Kadin, Brennen, Raquel, Easton, Raphael, Elliott, Riddick, Addaline, and Joshua. Niecies and Nephews: Beverly, Christy, Nathan, Valerie, Maurice, Davaughn, Dayshu, Kandence, and Kailey. Special mention of best friend of almost 30 years, Barbara Harmon.
A celebration of her life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025. 131 N. Canton Road, Akron OH 44305. Viewing from 11:00 am - 1:00pm, Service 1:00pm - 1:30pm.
Interment immediately following services at Hillside Memorial Park 1025 Canton Road, Akron OH, 44312.
