Linda Lou Watson, 86, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at Franciscan Manor in Patterson Township, PA. She was born on April 5, 1939, in Spartansburg, PA, to Jay Morton and Irene Stover Macy. She graduated Salutatorian from Spartanburg High School in 1957.

Linda was preceded in death by her late husband, Frank D. Watson, whom she married on May 24, 1957. They shared 56 wonderful years together prior to his passing. She leaves behind her current husband, Philip Cotter, whom she married on September 11, 2021. They enjoyed the last of her years traveling, gardening, enjoying music, and spending time with family.

Linda enjoyed raising her boys when they were little. She worked at Nuclear Automation, and then she retired from First United Methodist Church in Irwin, PA. Linda was an avid reader, gardener, and baker. She spent most of her time outdoors in the sun and enjoyed playing cards with her family. After she retired, she spent many years at Wolf’s Campground in Knox, PA. Linda also spent many years singing in the choir at various churches.

Linda is survived by her brother, William Morton (Connie); Sister-in-Law, Jane Morton; 2 sons, Frank Jr. (Holly) and Clifford (Shari); 5 grandchildren, Loren (Tonya), Alayna (Larry), Justin (Amelia), Travis (Jessica), Monica (Scott); and 8 great grandchildren. With her marriage to Philip, she gained an extended family: 2 children; Sarah (Kevin) and Philip; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Irene; sister, Carol Phillips (Bill); brother, Clifford Morton; and sister, Willa “Mike” Ponce.

A private memorial service will be held for family at Marshall Funeral Home in Wampum, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the city rescue mission of New Castle, PA may be made.
