Linda Pauline (Cranford) Webb passed into the loving arms of Jesus on
Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Oklahoma City.
Linda was born on August 13, 1948 to William and Betty Cranford in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She was the oldest of six girls in a very busy household. She was a graduate of Ponca High
School, class of 66'.
Meeting the love of her life, Michael James Webb, their first date was going to sports car
races in June, 1964. They were married on March 23, 1968 in Ponca City. They lived there
for a few years before experiencing the joy of living in New York and several cities in
Oklahoma.
Linda earned a Sociology degree from Oklahoma State University.
She was a very gifted administrator and served as President of the VA Credit Union in
Oklahoma City and later, as a Social Worker for DHS in Stillwater and Tulsa. She retired in
2011, but did still did seasonal taxes for H&R Block in retirement.
Linda and Mike grew in their love for each other and yet struggled to have children
for several years. When they adopted and joyfully welcomed into their home two
wonderful children, Shannon Kristine and Richard Joshua Webb, they were now a
real family.
With Michael's sudden passing in March, 1996, Linda met the challenges of being a single
mother with great courage. She was committed to being successful as a mother and in her
work.
She experienced a whole new season of life with grandchildren. Her oldest grandchildren,
Collin and Madelyn were born soon after Michael's death and spent a lot of time with
Linda. She credited them with pouring so much life into her in those early years. In her
latter years Linda was experiencing declining and limiting health and expressed regret of not
being physically able to also do special activities with her precious grandchildren Logan and
Suzanne.
Relationships with family and friends (especially life-long friend, Jan Spaulding) meant so
much to her.
In the last two years before her death, Linda recommitted her life to God and her faith in
Jesus Christ. This was a fulfilling and joyous experience for her. She was baptized on
Monday, March 17, 2025 and was then ready "to go home''.
Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Betty Cranford and
Michael, her husband of 27 years.
She is survived by her children Shannon Seco (Scott), Richard Webb (Whitney), four
grandchildren, Logan, Suzanne, Collin and Madelyn Seco; five sisters:
Judy Orr (Charles), Karen Witthuhn, Mona Brown (Steve), Kimberly Winn (David), Nellie
Corbin (Ricky); many nephews and nieces; and her best friend, Jan Spaulding.
A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at the Connect Church, 1101 W. Grand Ave.,
Ponca City on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
