Linda Mae Whitener, born on December 20, 1943, passed away on November 3, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of over sixty years, Dale Whitener, and their son, Daniel Whitener. She found great joy in her role as a grandmother to Clarissa Whitener and Isabella Whitener, as well as in her status as a great-grandmother to Kayson Whitener. Her family, including her sister Brenda Schrupp, and her nephew Todd Schrupp and niece Anne Schrupp, will carry forward the warmth and kindness she extended throughout her life. Moreover, Linda leaves behind a host of other family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Linda was a woman of diverse interests. She had a passion for fishing and often spent her days enjoying the serenity of nature. An accomplished knitter, she created beautiful works that brought comfort to her loved ones. Additionally, her love for travel took her to various destinations, where she made lasting memories.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, George Jordan, and her mother, Clarice Jordan. The imprint of her love will continue to resonate within her family and friends, serving as a testament to a life well-lived.
The visitation and funeral service will be held on November 6, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West County, located at 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63005. The visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service from 10:00 AM.
In this time of loss, we remember Linda Mae Whitener not only for the sorrow of her passing but also for the joy she brought to our lives. May her spirit forever shine in the hearts of those she loved.
