Linda Louise Wood, 76, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 5, 2025 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Charles Wood II.
Linda was born at Bethesda Naval Base to the late Robert Lee McCreary and Nancy Hoover (Dellinger) McCreary, of Zieglerville, PA. She was a graduate of Albert Einstein High School, Kensington, MD. Linda earned a B.S. in Biology from the former Virginia Polytechnic Institute, now Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, VA. She also earned a M.S. in Education from the University of Maryland. Linda began her career in education as a science teacher for Montgomery County Maryland Public Schools. Later after marrying and having a family, Linda was a substitute teacher for Upper Perkiomen School District until retiring.
An active member of her community, Linda was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hill, PA. She also sang for many years with the Valley Choral Society and was an avid golfer and longtime member of Saucon Valley Country Club.
In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sara Louise Wood, of Pennsburg; sister, Deborah Rei and her husband Peter of Sonora, CA; nephews: Roderick Ian Wood, of Pennsburg; Kevin Rei, his wife Stephenie, of Oregon City, OR; niece, Heather Rei, of Woodland Hills, CA; and great-nephew: Bennett Leo Rei.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 10-11 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1244 St. Paul's Church Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073 with a service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory by visiting www.psp.org to help research and cure Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Online condolences may be offered at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
