Lindsey Wayne Shue, 71, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at home, with his loving family by his side.
Lynn was born November 29, 1953 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Paul Hubert Shue and the late Phyllis Ann Shue.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Perry Lee Shue, step-brother Ricky Allen Shue, and sister, Julie Knight.
Lynn led a life with a servant's heart, that was marked with serving in the US Army, Cabarrus County School Board, and as a Cabarrus County Commissioner. Lynn was a self-employed business man for 25 years. Above all else, Lynn had a heart for Jesus, and made sure that everyone he came into contact with knew the Lord. Lynn had a heart for his family and his community, and always attempted to make everything he touched better than he found it.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 10, 2025 at Charity Baptist Church-Kannapolis. The funeral service will be on Tuesday November 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at Charity Baptist Church-Kannapolis and will be officiated by Pastor Marty Payton. Burial will immediately follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.
Survivors include wife of 50 years, Patty Shue, sons, Ashley Wayne Shue and wife Rikki, Avery Lin Shue, Sr. and girlfriend Sheena Sherrill, grandchildren, Avery Lin Shue, Jr (AJ) and wife Cami, Harlee Faith Shue, Emily Madison Jones, brothers, Mitchell Paul Shue and wife Cindy, Norman Shue and wife Deanna, Douglas Shue and wife Michelle, sister, Paula Hutcheson and husband Jeff, step-mother Margaret Shue, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lynn's name to Donate Life, and the Kidney Foundation.
