FLEMINGSBURG — Lindsey Nikkiole Marshall, age 12, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at UK Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Morehead on Dec. 11, 2012, she was the daughter of Clay Marshall and Jesshia Wagoner Mattox.
Lindsey was a seventh grader and cheerleader at Simons Middle School in Flemingsburg. She loved to fish and swim, and she was a roller coaster fanatic. She loved music. Her family, friends, and animals were everything to her. She was a member of the Elizaville Christian Church and belonged to the ECC youth group.
In addition to her mom Jesshia and her dad Clay, Lindsey is survived by her paternal grandparents, Lisa and Danny Shrout; her maternal grandparents, Martha McClain and Galen & Susan Wagoner; her uncle and aunt, Dave and Emily Marshall; her aunt and uncle, Michaela and Jeffery Halsey; her uncle, Robert Wagoner, her aunt, Kelly Wagoner; her three cousins, Brady, Cade, and Freya; along with many extended family members and friends.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, David Marshall; her maternal great grandfather, Don McClain; her maternal great grandparents, Kenny and Lois Wagoner; and her paternal great grandparents, Helena and Dan Jones and Marian and Bill Marshall.
A celebration of Lindsey's life will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at Elizaville Christian Church with Pastor Aaron Arrasmith officiating.
Lindsey will be laid to rest in Hillsboro Cemetery. Graveside services will be private.
Pallbearers include Dave Marshall, Whitt Gray, Jack Day, Mike McClain, Travis Walton, and Cole Conn. Honorary pallbearers include Brady Marshall, Cade Marshall, Chris Haas, Robert Wagoner, Kelly Wagoner, Michaela Halsey, Summer Harmon, Viola Gilvin, and the Fleming County Middle and High School Cheerleaders.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the church located at 53 Hilltop Road, Ewing, KY 41039.
