Linn Ray Davis, 81, of Pelahatchie passed away at MS Care Center of Morton on December 10, 2025. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th at Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Brandon from 12-2pm, with a funeral service to follow in the chapel. Linn will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery beside his dear wife, Diane Rhodes Davis.
Mr. Davis lived most of his life in the Crossroads community, and worked as an operator at a gas refinery company. He married the love of his life, Diane Rhodes Davis in November of 1968, with whom he shared 56 beautiful years of marriage. He was a man whose priorities were clear: his family and his farm came first. If someone needed help, he showed up—plain and simple. He liked to act as though he was in charge of everything around him, and those who knew him well understood that was just part of his charm. He lived a steady, hardworking life, and his presence will be remembered by all who knew him.
Linn is preceded in death by his parents, Tom Harris Davis Sr., and Nola Tindol Davis; his wife, Diane Rhodes Davis; siblings, Louise Davis, Tom Davis Jr., Robert Davis, Linda McNabb, Nellie McBride, and Neva Broom.
He leaves behind a legacy of his two children, Karen (Patrick) Wofford, and Dwayne (Jennifer) Davis; grandchildren, Austin (Jamie), Brady (Skylar), Caleb, and Lulu Davis, Coltan (Devinie) Wofford, Preston Wofford, and Carson (Landon) Hardin; great grandchildren, Miller Hairston, Anne Helen and Sarren Davis, Estelle Wofford, and Jordan Hardin; he is also survived by his siblings, Earnest Davis, Virginia Thompson, Glen Davis, and Gladys McDaniel.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Austin, Caleb, Coltan, Preston and Landon.
