Linna S. Dupont, 95, of Ford River, passed away the evening of August 24, 2025 at LakeHouse Assisted Living in Escanaba.

Linna was born on December 12, 1929 in Ford River, daughter of William Fredrick and Anna Marie (Makosky) Krause.

On November 8, 1947 the former Linna Krause married John J. Dupont at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hyde. They had four children and were able to spend 38 years together before John's passing in January 1986.

Linna was a dedicated mother and homemaker while raising her four children.

Linna loved to garden, watch birds, and spend time with her family.

Among survivors include her children Patricia Couillard and Michael (Judith) Dupont, both of Escanaba; grandchildren Tom (Carol) Blahnik, Amy (Marc) Townley, Jason (Lynne) Therrien, Alan (Andrea) Couillard, Tracy (Roger) Bonga, Sara (Jason) Deno, Kristy Lemerand, Jeremy Therrien, and Jonathan Therrien; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

Along with her parents, Linna is preceded in death by son, John Edward Dupont; daughter, Christine Therrien; granddaughter Dana Couillard; sisters, Margaret Wiezbicki and Sadie Olsen; and brothers, Floyd, Edward, Oscar, Emil, and David Krause.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 28th from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 615 S. 30th St., Escanaba. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Doletzky officiating. A meal will immediately follow in the church hall.

Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of service flowers, memorials may be directed to Linna's family, c/o her granddaughter, Sara Deno, 429 S 10th St Ste 5, Escanaba, MI 49829. Memorials will be used in the spring to purchase trees and flowers that will be planted in Linna's memory.
