Linus Pudenz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lampe & Powers Funeral Home - Lake City on Jun. 19, 2022.
Linus Pudenz, age 84 of Callender, IA, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Linus Norbert Pudenz was born on May 6, 1938, to parents Edward and Frances (Pawletzki) Pudenz in Carroll, IA. He grew up south of Auburn, IA, where he attended grade school and graduated from Auburn High School. He was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith and became a long-time member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburn, IA.
Linus worked as a semi-driver, driving coast to coast with a reefer trailer, getting close to covering the lower 48 contiguous states, and farmed. He enjoyed his farm life and taking care of his livestock.
Linus is survived by his 11 children; 30 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister Leota Adamson of CA; other extended family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don and Cletus, and granddaughter Grace Ann Pudenz.
After a 3-year struggle with health issues, and with a sound mind, he verbalized many times that he wished to have a simple, private memorial service only attended by those who cared for him the last twelve months of his life. In honoring his wishes, a service was held on June 18, 2022.

Sad to hear the news of Linus passing. My thoughts and prayers are for the surviving family and especially for Myrna. I am at a loss for words but to say that I have happy memories knowing Myrna & Linus from years long ago when I lived and worked with them in my youth. May Linus Rest In Peace and Myrna continue to enjoy the love of her family for many years to come.
