Linval Isaiah Wilson, 74, of Freeport, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Freeport Memorial Hospital, surrounded by love, comfort, and care.

Born on April 4, 1951, in Kingston, Jamaica, Linval was the youngest of six siblings. From an early age, he carried with him a deep appreciation for family, friendship, and togetherness; values that guided him throughout his life. Linval found his greatest joy in being with those he loved, sharing laughter, stories, and quiet moments that will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him.

Linval devoted nearly 40 years of dedicated service to Modern Platting, where his loyalty, integrity, and strong work ethic were evident to all. Outside of work, he was a proud and passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, faithfully cheering on his team year after year.

Above all, Linval will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved.

Linval is lovingly survived by his daughter, Latrice Allen, and cherished grandson Logic Fane of Freeport, Illinois, and daughter Kayla Allen of Jefferson City, Missouri; his sister, Sylvia Wilson, along with a host of nieces and nephews in Jamaica. He also leaves to cherish his memory his devoted life partner, Mable McGee of Freeport, Illinois; his bonus daughter, Thelma McGee and bonus grandson, Alan Calcote of Wichita Falls, Texas, and bonus granddaughter, Eboni Calcote of Grapevine, Texas; and bonus son Keith McGee, bonus grandson Justin McGee, and bonus granddaughter Jordyn McGee of Terry, Mississippi; bonus son Michael McGee I of Gautier, Mississippi, bonus granddaughter Kimberly Love of Portsmouth, VA, bonus grandson Michael McGee II and bonus granddaughter, Alexandra McGee of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by his dear lifelong friends, Patricia Norman, Lamorris McGee, and Bill Euell.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Icilda Lavinea Wilson and William Wilson; his brother, Frank Albert Wilson; his sisters, Gwendolyn Victoria McIntosh, Maude Velveteen Wilson, and Gleneisha Wilson; as well as bonus brothers and sisters of the McGee family. He was also welcomed home by his dear friends Earl Richmond, Kendrick Anderson, Kenny Lenoir, and Alonzo Euell.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., also at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A committal ceremony will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, Illinois.

Arrangements are under the care of Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared online through Burke & Tubbs. Cards and floral arrangements may be sent to Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home for the service or to 1649 Hilltop Place, Apt. 2, Freeport, IL 61032, following the service.
