Lisa R. Dake, 52, of Wausau, formerly of Stetsonville, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at her home after complications from diabetes.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home in Medford. Burial will be at a later date at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Stetsonville.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14 at the funeral home.
Lisa was born June 30, 1970 in Marshfield to David and Cheryl (Ewoldt) Dake. She graduated from Medford High School.
She worked for a canning factory in Merrill, then worked for Fiskars in Wausau until the company was moved out of the country. She then worked as a nurses aide until having to cease working due to health issues.
Lisa enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her sons and extended family.
She is survived by her two sons, Aaron Wolff of Wausau, Matthew Piech of Wausau; father and stepmother, David and Patricia Dake of Medford; sister, Jodi Dake of Medford; Matthew's father, Lawrence Piech; step-siblings, Christine (Martin) Pataconi, Kimberly (Stephen) Doud, Lura Keller, Roger (Ashley) Treece, William Treece; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; two daughters in infancy; and two brothers, Scott and Shane Dake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and appreciated.
