It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Grossfeld, a loving and compassionate soul who graced this world with her presence from March 1, 1939, until November 23, 2025. Born in Tangiers, Morocco, Lisa lived a life that was both extraordinary and unassuming, a life driven by a relentless love for her children and a boundless spirit of generosity.

Lisa was the embodiment of selflessness, a woman whose heart was as beautiful as her soul. She ran the family business, a store in Queens, with pride and tenacity for over four decades. Her dedication to her work was not merely a means to an end; it was her way of ensuring that she could provide her children with everything they needed. Lisa's supportive nature extended beyond her family, touching the lives of countless people in her community. Her store was not just a place to shop, but a haven where struggling mothers could find a reprieve and neighborhood children always left with a smile and a piece of candy.

In her later years, she found joy in caring for animals, gardening, and watching the beauty of nature unfold. Her house was a sanctuary for all creatures, big and small. Lisa's compassion knew no bounds; she couldn't bear to see any creature go hungry and dedicated herself to feeding them wherever she could. As devout in her faith as she was in her love for others, Lisa lived her life with a strong belief in God, a beacon of light guiding her through every storm.

Lisa is survived by her sons, Paul and Danny. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Esther Pinto, her daughter, Monique Tester, and her husband, Julius Grossfeld. Her memory will forever be a treasured keepsake in the hearts of those who knew her.

In celebrating Lisa's life, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos to her memorial page. As we pay tribute to this remarkable woman, let us remember her not just for the life she lived, but for the lives she touched with her loving, compassionate, generous, and supportive spirit.
