It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa M. Hartway 62, of Columbus, Ohio. Lisa passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025.

Lisa was born on January 23, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio to Bertita A. Johnston Hartway and Ira Hartway.

Lisa was a graduate of South High School (Bulldogs). She possessed several certificates and degrees of Applied Science, Court Reporting, and Psychology from The Columbus Academy of Court Reporting and The Ohio State University.

Lisa enjoyed everything creative from writing short stories to painting, and giant puzzles.

Lisa was proud of her accomplishments and especially her son, five grandchildren and great grandson.

POEM BY MOTHER

Like peaches and cream Lisa bloomed into my world with soft hues of rose, Lisa gently left our arms.

Lisa is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ira Hartway, Sr. and Louise Allen Hartway, and maternal grandmother, Anna Louise Johnston Jones.

Lisa is survived by her devoted spouse, Harry J. Cox; her only child, Lamont Featherstone, Sr.; her mother, Bertita Hartway; her father, Ira G. Hartway; her siblings, Ira Hartway (Dianna), Christopher Hartway Sr.(Michelle), Donald Mayle, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jasmine Featherstone, R'Eion Featherstone, Nevaeh Featherstone, Deaushone Collins, Lamont Featherstone, Jr., and great grandson, Roman Johnson, with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

POEM FROM SON

If roses grew in heaven, Lord pick them all for me, place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from her only child.

Tell her I'll always love and miss her, and when she looks and smiles place a gentle kiss upon her cheek and hold her for me.

Remembering her is easy I do it everyday, but there's a hurt in my heart that will never go away.
