Lisa Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral Home-Keyser Chapel on Dec. 17, 2025.
Lisa Renee Johnson, 55, of Keyser, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 in Keyser.
Born on November 5, 1970, in Baltimore, Maryland, Lisa was the beloved daughter of Donald Patrick and Phyllis Ann (Virglio) Welsh of Millsboro, Delaware. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert "Bob" Anstine.
Lisa was a dedicated phlebotomist and provided compassionate care as a private sitter for many years. Her professional life was marked by a profound commitment to the wellbeing of others, mirroring the love she gave to her own family.
A faithful attendee of the Mineral Baptist Church, Keyser, Lisa's spiritual journey was a testament to her strong faith and resilient spirit. Her green thumb was symbolic of her nurturing nature, allowing her to cultivate both lush gardens and lasting relationships.
Lisa was a woman of many passions, but shopping was where she truly found joy. Her love for plants was also evident, her home filled with greenery, each plant nurtured with the same love and care she extended to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lisa is survived by her loving husband of nearly 35 years, Kenneth A. Johnson; her treasured children, Zachary Allen Johnson of Frederick, Maryland, and Brooke Elizabeth Johnson and fiancé, Terry Henry of Rehobeth, Delaware. Her joy was multiplied by her cherished grandchildren, Kieria, Jordan, Jayden, Carmella, and Jace Henry.
Lisa also leaves behind her brother, Josh Welsh of Millsboro; sister, Rachel Welsh of Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Florence Penny Anstine of Keyser; brothers-in-law, Jim Johnson and wife Leah of White Marsh, Maryland, and Tim Johnson and wife Mary of Keyser; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Mineral Baptist Church on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Kris Lengel officiating. Friends and family are welcome to visit and share memories one hour prior to the service. A fellowship bereavement dinner will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, is in charge of the arrangements.
