Lisa Marier Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 9, 2025.
Lisa Anne Marier; beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend; of Anoka passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on January 31, 2025. She was born in Shakopee, Minnesota on June 13, 1967.
Lisa graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in 1986 and worked as an administrative assistant. She was passionate about animals, adopting several cats through her life and caring for others pets when needed. She participated in the Animal Humane Society Walk for Animals yearly, receiving recognition for her fundraising abilities and her long-term participation. Lisa also enjoyed reading, movies and scrapbooking to document her travels and family events. She was an incredibly kindhearted person who found joy and laughter in the simple moments.
More than anything, however, Lisa loved her family. She always made herself available to help with whatever was needed for her family including chauffeuring, cat-sitting, housesitting and babysitting. She was the biggest cheerleader for her nieces and nephews, going to games, recitals, plays and band concerts to show her support.
Lisa is survived by her mother Nancy Liebeg, father Lawrence Liebeg, brothers Mark Liebeg and Guy Liebeg (wife Catherine and daughter Melissa), sisters Shari Frederick (son Rory Scanlon) and Becky Faustgen (husband Michael and children Liam, Logan and Lyla) aunt Diana Niskern and uncle Robert Niskern, and many other loved ones including aunts, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held this summer.
