Ms. Lisa P. (Kelly) Merriam, 48, of Middleton, formerly of Woburn, died Tuesday night, June 19, 2012, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her dear friends. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Neal F. and Mary Virginia (Warren) Kelly of Woburn. She was raised and educated in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School. She continued her education at Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and Northeastern University. A long time well known resident of the Town of Middleton, Lisa was recently employed as a school nurse at Howe-Manning and Fuller Meadow Schools in Middleton. She had previously been a pediatric nurse and was also associated with the Town of Boxford School systems. A dedicated member of the St. Agnes Church Family in Middleton, Lisa taught C.C.D. classes and participated in the metastatic group, as she courageously battled breast cancer for six years. Throughout her illness, she always thought of others first, and especially loved to help young children. Lisa will be fondly remembered for her energetic personality, strong will and her devotion to others. A loving mother, daughter, sister and friend she will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and students she helped along the way. In addition to her beloved parents, Lisa is survived by her son, Christopher J. Merriam and his father John Merriam of Middleton, her sister, Suzanne M. Kelly of Burlington, her brother, Neal W. Kelly and his wife Melanie of Norwell, and Mark S. Kelly of Woburn. She was a loving aunt to Ariana Lopes and Tess and Brady Kelly. She is also survived by her childhood friend Jean O'Conner and many other dear and close friends throughout Middleton, Woburn and the North Shore. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (Rte 62) Danvers, Wednesday at 10:15 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, 22 Boston St.(Rte 62), Middleton, at 11 A.M. Lisa, It's approaching 6 years and you knock on my daydream door every day! Love and miss you girlfriend as we all do. I bought some new bling today for my laces and and am adding a clover with it for U2. Only you would understand this one and I remember when we first got them. Hugs to heaven xox

Dearest Lisa, you brought a bright light to our H1N1 work in your deep blue scrubs that matched your amazingly deep blue eyes. You were a gift to all of us in the Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group in Middleton. Your love for children was what we had in common from the start and this will be your legacy as the children you loved and encouraged will not forget you and will thrive because of you. Your wonderful son, Christopher, has a strong foundation and is a nice young gentleman. I miss you and I know that your road to Heaven was swift! XOH, your "peep", Heather
