Lisa Winae O’Dell (Wendy), age 64, of Valdosta, Georga, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was born on February 24, 1961, to late parents, Thomas Wayne Taylor and Elizabeth Ann Middlebrooks Taylor.
She proudly served eight years in the United States Air Force before dedicating the final 25 years of her career as a correctional officer in Lake Butler, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Matthew Coody and brother, Thomas Taylor Jr (Cathy).
She is survived by her sisters: Sandra Coody, Patricia Gaddis (Richard), and Karen Jarvis (Randy); nephews: Justin Coody, JW (Jay) Wilson, Timothy Jarvis, Owen, and Bradley Matheny; nieces: Courtney Matheny, Elizabeth Jarvis, Desiree Jarvis, Ashley Taylor, and Lindsey Harpe; God son, Patrick Wilson (Jahna); best friend, Diana Swain.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services at 9:00 AM and follow in procession to the cemetery at 10:15 AM.
