Chris, Russell, Megan, and Nolan,
Lisa had an uncanny sense of knowing when one of us family members was in need, and she was always there with a phone call at the appropriate moment. Then she would proceed to get right to the crux of the matter in order to provide the stable support to keep her loved ones on track. Her words of encouragement will continue to keep us strong as we move forward. Her influence is timeless.
John M. Poltrack, thank you dear cousin for posting the beautiful photos.

Chris, Russell, Megan and Nolan-My deepest condolences on the passing of Lisa. I met Lisa at the beginning of middle school at Burdick, and have remained friends since. There was a period of time when our lives focused on our personal journeys and family when we and I were not in touch with each other much. But as we got older, we renewed our friendship without skipping a heartbeat.
I remember having a great time in New Orleans during Mardi Gras with Lisa and another friend. That was one highlight of our friendship.
And more recent years, Lisa & Catherine & I would meet annually for our Lobster role luncheon, enjoying the waterside.
When I heard that Lisa had passed away, I was shocked and heartbroken to hear the news, thinking this can´t be. I will always remember Lisa as a fun-loving, caring individual who loved her family immensely.
RIP Lisa

Lisa was someone who I first met at Burdick Junior High School when we were 12, knew each other for a while and then hadn´t seen each other for decades. Although I live in Boston and don´t get back to Stamford all too often, a few years ago I did run into her at a party for a mutual friend at her church and renewed our friendship although mostly online. When I ran into her after all that time, I was astounded, absolutely astonished, into what a profoundly remarkably extraordinary person of depth she had grown to be - the best of the whole lot of us. Lisa had every great quality that you would want in a person -- kindness, intelligence, passionate commitment to service to the community and bettering the lives of the lesser among us; an incredible family person; a workaholic who could not just sit still but always had to be doing something; a huge collection of friends because every wanted to be around her (she practically collected people); a deep faith; and a heart so big it was practically falling out of her chest. She was the whole package. On the one hand, at this moment, this feels like such a deeply sad loss and my heart goes out to her family. But on the other hand, happy to have known however fleetingly this giant heart as Lisa was the role model for us all.
