Lisa Robinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Millspaugh Funeral Directors - Walden on Feb. 4, 2026.
Lisa Robinson, of Montgomery, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was 58 years old.

The daughter of the late Joseph Padro and Wilma Guerin Padro, Lisa was born on October 4, 1967, in the Bronx as the youngest of three. She was an accomplished student with a deep affinity for music, playing both the guitar and violin. Her dedication to the violin carried her beyond the classroom and into borough-wide performances, placing her on some of New York City's most celebrated stages, including Carnegie Hall.

She graduated from Valley Central High School in 1985 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly thereafter. She served for eight years, earning numerous accolades, including a good conduct medal, a meritorious promotion, and the Sharpshooter badge.

Lisa met her husband, Donald K. Robinson, in the fall of 1986 while working in the mess hall during their service. Their meeting marked the beginning of a whirlwind romance that led to their marriage on April 21, 1988, and two children not long after. A devoted, caring, and loving wife, Lisa will be forever cherished and deeply missed by her husband.

In 2009, Lisa joined the Getinge Group as a Credit & Collections Supervisor. She worked tirelessly, took great pride in her accomplishments, and found a second family among her coworkers.

Lisa was well-known for her kindness, warmth, and positive disposition, and those who knew her well recognized her quiet but powerful grit. She was welcoming to all and made both family and friends feel right at home, wherever they were. Of all the hats she wore-Manager, Wife, Sister, Mom, etc.-her favorite was G-Ma, as she adored nothing more than her beautiful grandchildren.

Lisa found joy in life's everyday comforts and connections. She loved scenic walks, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Those who knew her relied on her for her quick wit, her empathy, her sharp math skills, her tireless work ethic, and simply for her steady presence.

She could often be found settled into her recliner, reading news articles, binge-watching Korean dramas, or playing Wordle and the Los Angeles Times Mini Crossword with her husband (despite her one-sided feud with puzzle creator Elizabeth Gorski). Even in her downtime, she could be found at her computer-updating her resume or crunching numbers-always striving for growth.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald K. Robinson; her children Alesha (Dion) Pearson Berry, Darius (Raquel) Robinson, Devron (Ernestine) Robinson, Donald (Kristian) Robinson Jr., Jalyn Robinson, and Tempesitt (Wadelon) McAllister; and her cherished grandchildren Dax, Donasha, Malik, Mathius, Summer, Ty'jon, Xoe, Zaiden, Zariyah, Zavior, and Zavion.

She is also survived by her sister, Gina Padro Rosa, and brother, Joseph (Iris) Padro III, her godmother, JoAnn Kate Jasiel, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Lisa is predeceased by her grandparents, Mary and William Guerin.

Though she is no longer with us, Lisa's resilience, kindness, and radiance will live on-through her husband's laugh, her children's smiles, and her grandchildren's warmth. She leaves behind an abundance of memories and everlasting love. She will be sent off with military honors for her outstanding and exemplary service.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank Street, Walden, NY 12586.

A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will take place privately.
