Lisa Ann Venner (née Staszkiewicz), 57, of Bennington, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on June 3, 1968, in Evanston, Illinois, Lisa was the beloved daughter of Annette Staszkiewicz and the late Lawrence Staszkiewicz.
Lisa’s life was marked by her dedication to family, faith, and education. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Creighton University and later pursued a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her passion for teaching blossomed later in life when a part-time job at a preschool inspired her to embark on a second career as an educator. Lisa found immense joy as a kindergarten teacher, where she shared her love of learning with countless young students she affectionately referred to as her "little friends."
A devout Catholic, Lisa was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She generously gave her time as a eucharistic minister and served as an instructor for religious education classes for several years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and guided her in all that she did.
Lisa cherished spending time with her family and found joy in creating lasting memories with them. She loved family vacations to sunny beaches like Destin and Anna Maria Island, where she could relax with a good thriller novel while soaking up the sun. An avid runner, Lisa completed several half marathons over the years and enjoyed evening walks with her beloved dogs. Fulfilling a childhood dream, she also spent years riding and caring for her own horse.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Don Venner; her children, Kaila Venner (Doug Porter), Jared Venner, and Nolan Venner; her mother, Annette Staszkiewicz; her siblings Andy Staszkiewicz, Adam Staszkiewicz, and Alaina Talley (Tristan Talley); as well as many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Staszkiewicz; parents-in-law Albin and Rita Venner; and sister-in-law Sheila Staszkiewicz.
Lisa will be remembered for the many roles she embraced throughout her life: a devoted wife and mother, a loving daughter and sister, an inspiring teacher, and a loyal friend. Her warmth touched everyone who knew her.
May Lisa’s memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. A Funeral Service will be held on March 24, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul 14330 Eagle Run Drive, Omaha, NE 68164, Visitation will start at 9:30am service will start at 10:30am with lunch to follow.
