Lisa A. West

WESTERLY - Lisa A. West (ne Sui Ying Lin), age 80, of Westerly, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at The Westerly Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 8, 1945, in Ping Tung, Taiwan, to Cha-Mei Lin and Wan-Fu Lin, Lisa lived a life defined by faith, compassion, and devotion to those she loved.

A cherished member of Central Baptist Church, she found great joy and fellowship in the Womens Circle and the Knitting and Crocheting Group. Her gentle hands and warm heart touched countless lives through the beautiful items she created and the love she shared so freely.

Lisa will be remembered for her kindness, empathy, humor, and unwavering generosity. Her kitchen was the heart of every gathering, filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking and baking, and the laughter of family and friends. She especially loved preparing her native Taiwanese dishes, sharing her heritage through flavors that brought warmth and connection to every meal. Outside the kitchen, she found peace and happiness in her garden, tending to her flowers and plants with the same care and devotion she gave to her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Donald E. West Sr., and her four children Karen L. West-Federico, Lisa M. West-Giacalone, Donald E. West Jr., and Christine A. West, along with her loving son-in-law Timothy Morgan, and her beloved dog, Jetta, who never left her side. She was the proud grandmother of Hillary Federico and her husband, Matt Andrew, Courtney Federico, Muse Giacalone, and Neige Giacalone, who each brought her immense joy and pride.

Lisa was predeceased by five brothers and sisters and her dear sons-in-law Michael J. Federico and Xavier Giacalone, whose memories she held close to her heart.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. At Central Baptist Church, 16 Elm Street, Westerly, Rhode Island. She will be laid to rest in a private family service. The family will honor her memory in quiet reflection rather than through public calling hours.

Lisa's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at The Westerly Hospital and Hope Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness. Her love, warmth, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
