Lloyd Wayne Barton

Lloyd Wayne Barton of Columbia, Maryland died on Friday June 27, 2014 at the age of 67, at the Washington Medical Center, in Washington DC of a heart attack. Lloyd was born in Maryland on Nov. 2, 1946, to the late Harry C. Barton Jr and the late Mary Abby Barton [nee Dorsey]. His hometown was Laurel, MD, however, he attended school also at Church Farm School in Paoli, PA and graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1967. He joined the USAF in 1969 and served in Vietnam in 1971 as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and honorably discharged in 1973. Lloyd was a machinist by trade and has been employed for 26 years by Bowles Fluidics in Columbia Maryland, he was currently serving as a Machine Shop Supervisor. Lloyd is survived by his brother Gary Barton with wife Kathy Barton of Columbia MD and his sister Janice L. Kaifer and husband William Kaifer Jr and their sons William III and James W Kaifer of Hanover MD. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life with his family at his memorial service at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 beginning at 11:00 AM. A private service will be held at the Dorsey Family Cemetery in Annapolis Junction MD at a later date.
