Lloyd E. Conover

Lloyd Eugene Conover, age 94, of Nekoosa, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center Bay Area in Marinette, WI.
Lloyd was born November 13, 1927 in Edenton, Ohio to Loyd and Elizabeth (Osborne) Conover. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in agriculture. He married Barbara Jean Cross in 1951 and they had 4 children.
Lloyd worked for Dayton Power and Light in Ohio until moving to Wausau, WI in 1969 when he took a position with Marathon Electric Company.
Lloyd was an avid reader and enjoyed journaling and writing poetry. His was interested in geology and hunting for geodes. He also enjoyed studying his ancestry through genealogy. He loved being outdoors; in earlier years on his sailboat and in later years just riding the lawnmower. He was a member of American Legion Post 33 in Bedford, Indiana.
Lloyd is survived by four children: Dain (Debra) Conover of Nekoosa, WI, Bruce (Charmaigne) Conover of Peshtigo, WI, Lance (Anita) Conover of St. Cloud, MN, and Michelle (Greg) Yaklovich of Hartford, WI; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Hazel Lewis of Shoals, IN, Paulette Rose of Tavares, FL, Donald Conover of Amelia, OH, Ann Osborne of Tavares, FL, Margaret Acuff of Phoenix, AZ, and Virginia Rapp of Milford, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Carl Conover and Neil Conover.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
