Lloyd Doolittle

Lloyd Wesley Doolittle, 84, of Greenwood, SC, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Agape Senior of York, SC. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Greater Life Ministries, with the Rev. Milton Smith and Rev. Jason Garner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood, SC. Mr. Doolittle was born July 20, 1930 in Greenwood, SC, to the late Wallace Roy and Artie Ridlehoover Doolittle. He was an active member of Restoration Ministries in Greenwood, SC, where he served as the men's Bible class teacher and on the Church and Pastor's council. Mr. Doolittle was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Survivors are his wife, Gladys Craven Doolittle; daughter, Teresa D. Smith and husband Rev. Milton Smith of York, SC; son, Rev. Tom Doolitte and wife Beverly Doolittle of Columbia, SC; brother, Carroll Doolittle of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Jason Smith, Jennifer Deveney, Jessica Whitesides, Shelley Bowers and Nathan Doolittle; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Coy Doolittle and a great-granddaughter, Catherine Deveney. Memorials may be made to the Agapé Foundation, 1624 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29203. M.L.
