Lloyd C. Floerke, 91, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
Lloyd was the oldest child of Carl and Mildred Floerke, born on May 6, 1935, in Whitewater, WI. He proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years. He was deployed to Vietnam in 1966, served in Korea and several tours in Germany where he met his German wife, Renate.
Lloyd was a very proud and loving father to one daughter, Christina Smith, with his wife Renate Floerke which in turn blessed him with two grandchildren, Gloria Brehm and Laura Wheatley and three great-grandchildren, Ashley Brehm, Luke Brehm and Victoria Wheatley and one great, great-granddaughter, Juniper Brehm-Riddle. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Carl Floerke and Mildred Floerke, his sister, Beverly Fero, and his beautiful bride, Renate Floerke.
Lloyd was an accomplished woodworker and former president of a local woodworking club.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Committal Service will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
