Lloyd Ingvall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Henry-Olson Funeral Home and Crematory - Estherville on Dec. 4, 2025.
Lloyd Allen Ingvall, was born on October 20, 1927 in Emmet County, Iowa to John and Nina (Riggs) Ingvall. He passed away on December 3, 2025 at Good Samaritan Home in Estherville at the age of 98 years.
Lloyd grew up in Emmet County. He entered into the United States Air Force in 1951. In 1952, he was honorably discharged and returned home to help on the farms. Although his military career was shorter than he would have liked, he gained a love for flying from it. He purchased a plane and flew it during his younger years. He eventually traded the plane off for his first tractor with a plow. Lloyd spent his entire working life as a farmer.
On January 25, 1958 he was united in marriage to Betty Tangeman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple had three children, Barbara, Jay, and James. He enjoyed the outdoors, as an active sportsman, spending many days fishing and hunting with his brother-in-law. Lloyd enjoyed spending time in his garage whittling wood with his grandsons, creating many objects and statues together. Lloyd and Betty enjoyed making trips to the casino, playing slots and blackjack there. They also enjoyed evening card parties with friends, playing a variety of games.
Lloyd is survived by his children Barbara Ingvall (Evonne) of Greeley, Colorado, Jay Ingvall (Lisa Rosburg) of Estherville, and James Ingvall of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren Matthew Ingvall and Allen (Miranda) Ingvall; and two great-grandchildren Joscelyn and Fiona. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Velda Moreau, Vancouver, Washington.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, two brothers Clifford and Clarence Ingvall, and seven sisters Alice Weber, Laura Hansen, Mabel Howard, Dorothy Mead, Lavon DeLoss, Evelyn Hansen, and Florence Willison.
