As a LIKKLE CHINE BWOY growing up in JA i was attracted to the drumming of KNIBBSIE and the SKATALITES.that stayed wid me and was always a constant inspiration for me and my playing.i was fortunate to play wid him on the LEGENDS OF SKA DVD AND IN LA AND JAPAN.Never was there a time that he did not have time for me and was and always be one of my favourite musical inspiration.God bless Knibbsy and i will miss him big time.one love de likkle chiney bwoy pon de banjo.---PHIL CHEN FROM JAMAICA.

Lloyd Knibb and Ossie Williams were regular visitors to my house when I was a child. I remember Lloyd as a person who always had a smile on his face. RIP Lloydie

I saw the Skatalites perform in Fresno about 10 years ago and immediately bough two of their CD's that are excellent, excellent bodies of work. If you are a fan of Bob Marley, Aswad, Sublime or any of the current bands that build off of that island sound, do yourself a favor and buy a few Skatalites CD'. This gentleman along with the entire band were an inspiration to all who were witness to older musicians getting up in age but oozing with youth and good spirit while doing what they did best. Rest in Peace my friend. Your contribution to people like me who you never met is invaluable.

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. May family and friends be comforted by the promise: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

To the the family of Lloyd Knibb - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that Lloyd will be missed by many.

LLoyd will be missed. He was very talented. As we reflect on his life at this time may the thoughts found in Revelation 21:3, 4 be of comfort to all.

My deepest condolences to you all for your precious loss. When tragedy happens the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can be unbearable. But, it's times like this we need to go to God's Word for Comfort, Hope & Strength. Isaiah 41:13
