Lloyd was born on June 24, 1925, to John G. and Frieda (Vogel) Link in rural Waterville. He graduated from Waterville High School and participated in track and football, earning several medals.
On May 18, 1949, Lloyd married the love of his life, Marjorie "Marge" Ham, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville.
All of his life Lloyd farmed and was very successful. He retired in 1991.
Together, Lloyd and Marge traveled to 52 different countries.
Lloyd was known to be a fun, loving and sharp dresser. He made many friends throughout his life. He and Marge never had children of their own. However, Lloyd had a group of very devoted young men that Marge affectionately referred to as "Lloyd's boys", Jon Schell, Richard Weber and Dale Link.
At the age of 99, Lloyd unfortunately outlived many of his friends. However, because of his sharp wit, he was able to make new friends throughout his life.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Marjorie on November 11, 2011; parents; brothers, Wilbur Link and Lyle Link; and friend, Jon Schell.
Survivors include Richard Weber, Dale Link and many more nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
