Lloyd L. Martin, 85, of rural Memphis, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the residence of a son-in-law near Edina, Missouri.
He was born October 8, 1939, in Napierville, Pennsylvania, the son of Amos O. and Annie Landis Martin.
On December 16, 1961, Lloyd married Anna Mary Weaver. They shared fifty-eight years together and were blessed with twelve children.
In 1974, they moved to a farm in Scotland County, Missouri. He did refrigeration work for many years and enjoyed meeting people. They were members of Indian Creek Mennonite Church.
Lloyd is survived by eleven children, Debra and Nevin Weiler of Rutledge, Missouri; Sharon and Willard Zimmerman of Fortuna, Missouri; Tony Martin of Memphis, Missouri; Darla Zimmerman of Cantril, Iowa; Carol and Glenn Ivan Zeiset of Greentop, Missouri; Faye Elaine and Shannon Weiler of Memphis, Missouri; Lorene and Clair Weiler of Edina, Missouri; Loren and Erma Martin of Baring, Missouri; Janell and Calvin Hoover of Rutledge, Missouri; Daryl and Ruth Elaine Martin of Bloomfield, Iowa; Gayla and LeAllen Ramer of Gorin, Missouri; sixty-four grandchildren and fifty-four great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Anna Mary in September 2020; a stillborn son, Clyde Lamar; two grandsons, Eric Zimmerman and Larry Hoover; parents, Amos and Annie; all of his siblings, two sisters and seven brothers: Norman (Mary E. Fisher), Alvin (Dorothy G. Kline), Melvin (Dorothy Z. Wenger), Amos (Vera N. Stahl and Eleanor Fry Weaver), Nora (Leroy M. Hoover), Annie, (Martin G. Weaver), Elam (Cathryn M. Good), Marvin, age twenty, and Clyde, six months. Lloyd was the youngest in the family.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Indian Creek Mennonite Church south of Memphis, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.
Burial will be in the Indian Creek Mennonite Cemetery south of Memphis, Missouri.
The family requests no flowers, only your presence and prayers.
