Lloyd Price Obituary
L.H. graduated from Vaiden Whitley High School in 1972 and furthered his education at Wake Technical Community College, where he received his associate's degree in computer technology. He worked for 24 years as an Electronic Technician and Network Engineer at Memorex Telex, and for 18 years at the NC Administrative Office of the Courts, where he served as the Field Work Engineer/Data Storage Manager.
LH. was bi-vocational, as he spent 24 years sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, traveling many weekends to preach. He preached in 4 states and on the radio. L.H. served as a youth director for 7 years and was instrumental in the growth of Gospel Chapel in Raleigh. He loved sharing the gospel with anyone he met, in any way he could.
L.H. shared that the three highlights of his life were his day of salvation on May 21, 1972, marrying the love of his life, Diane, on March 1, 1975, and adopting his beloved daughter, Rachel, on June 29, 1986.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane Wall Price; daughter, Rachel D. Price; sister, Julia Ledford (Joe); brother, Danny Price; nephew, Michael Ledford (Vicki); and niece, Teresa Ledford.
A service to celebrate L.H.'s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 22, 2025, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Visitation will immediately follow the service. A private burial will be held for the immediate family only.
For anyone unable to attend L.H.'s celebration of life, the service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by clicking the live webcast link below.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in L.H.'s memory to help continue to spread the love and gospel of Jesus Christ to The Gideons International or Samaritan's Purse.
