Lloyd D. Rosenberg was born to Hyman and Edna Rosenberg in Hartford, Connecticut, and grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts. From an early age, Lloyd developed a deep love for baseball, his family, music, and human connection. He was particularly known for his extensive knowledge of the Boston Red Sox, an encyclopedia of the team's history. His passion for the game was only matched by his devotion to those he loved.
Lloyd shared a 50-year marriage with his beloved wife, Mary, with whom he raised their children: Leah Berguay and Shana Anthony. Shana married to Philip Anthony Jr. and having two children Isaac & Zoe Anthony. He was also a loving father to his first children from his previous marriage-daughter Wendy, married to Gus Prince and Wendy's son Cameron. He had two sons, Steven Rosenberg, married to Cristie, parent to Bex and Lyrissa. Lloyd's other son was Michael Rosenberg, father to Kayla and Kevin Rosenberg.
Lloyd was a man of connection and community. He was an active member of the Rotary Club and BNI, attending meetings across New England. He had great love for networking which wasn't just about making friends-it was about creating lasting bonds and supporting others. His volunteer work with the Burlington Special Olympics was a particular passion. Lloyd found great joy and purpose in supporting the athletes and witnessing their light and love.
After retiring, Lloyd and Mary moved to a quaint cottage in Maine, where they continued to build cherished memories with their family. He passed at the age of 85 on November 11, 2024 and was surrounded by his family and the music that he loved. His legacy of love, joy, and connection lives on in many hearts.
