Loen Lee Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 11, 2025.
December 27, 1959 – October 30, 2025
Loen S Lee passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 30, 2025. He was born on December 27, 1959, to Stephen M. Lee and Charlotte Morrell Lee. He was the oldest of four children.
Loen married Cindy Clayton, and together they raised two beloved children, Sky (Casey Charlotte) and Anne Michelle, who were the pride and joy of his life. Loen and Cindy's time together was cut short by her passing, which left him heartbroken. Being a single father was not easy, but Loen faced it with determination and love. Though there were challenges along the way, he and his daughter Sky found reconciliation and a renewed closeness that meant the world to him. Anne enjoyed time with her dad going to Lava and the gift of her fur baby Hulk.
Loen courageously battled multiple myeloma for more than fifteen years and was deeply grateful to the doctors and care team who helped extend his life beyond expectations, allowing him to spend more precious years with family and friends.
For the past fifteen years, Loen worked as a registered nurse-a profession he found deeply meaningful. His compassion, patience, and humor touched countless lives, both personally and professionally.
The last six years of his life were shared with his companion, Nona Dowdle, whom he loved dearly. Nona brought her five adult children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren into his life, and Loen loved being a grandpa. He also had other lasting relationships that enriched his life. He shared happy years with Delene Nelsen and her family-they remained family at heart.
Loen had a lifelong passion for golf and played as often as possible, in every season. Even on road trips with his family there was always a planned stop for him to play nine holes. Outside of his children, golf was what kept him going in life. It was his outlet during tough times and helped him cope when he struggled. His golf buddies became like brothers to him, and the friendships he built on and off the golf course meant the world to him. His friend Shane was the first-person Loen called when he was headed to the golf course, always hoping to meet him there. It was Shane who witnessed Loen's hole-in-one-a day Loen never forgot. He often expressed how grateful he was to have Shane as a friend.
Loen is survived by his father, Stephen Lee; his children, Sky and Anne; his siblings, Steve (Ericka) Lee, and Sonya (Kevin) Edman; his partner, Nona Dowdle; and his nieces and nephews, who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy; his mother, Charlotte; and his brother, Elray.
Loen loved his family and friends-of which there were many-and they loved him in return. A celebration of Loen's life will take place at later date.
